Photography at its core is about capturing a moment. When the "moment" is relatively static I have time to consider the lighting, compostion, aperature, f-stop, ISO and shutter speed. Wildlife photography, birds in particular, are the antithesis of this process. I am certain this is why I have found photographing birds as a frustrating expereince. I think it was during our trip to Tanzania in 2024, that we began to appreciate the rewards of bird photography. As with any skill, if you put in the practice, you can't help (I hope) to get better!
