My second trip to Austin was a blended celebration for Thanksgiving. Since we had the opportunity to visit with Olivia as well as my brother-in-law sister 's(Allison) who also lives in the area. Joining in on our celebration was my mother-in-law. We had a great time exploring the city through a couple of scavenger hunts. We spent one of our evenings at a legitimate honky-tonk bar, the Broken Spoke. It was a fun time with live music and learing how to two-step. We also went the Salt Lick for true Texas barbegue. I do feel we may have experienced this Texas landmark as somewhat past its prime, they did have the most amazing selection of barbeque-themed t-shirts. One unexpected highlight was learning about the meme of 6/7,even with the help of a 7 year old I still don't even marginally understand why this is a thing.
