The only certainty is life is that we will experience change. It is our hope when we have agency over that change and that it will be for the positive. After three years in California, Olivia decided that she needed such a change and moved to Austin Texas. While she is still a good bit away, now it is only one time zone instead of three. The timing worked out that I was able to help her get settled and spent a little time exploring Austin. Having made several trips to LA, it leaves one with the impression that it is world's epicenter for self-absorption. For this reason, I appreciated one of Austin's mottos : 'Keep Austin Wierd' While change can be scary, it also give us an opportunity to find that better version of ourself. So good luck with this new beginning....just don't bring too many of those liberal california expectations with you!
